Some leadership roles are about stepping back.
This one is about stepping in.
Not to micromanage.
But to lead properly.
This is a small, experienced team delivering a mix of corporate events across the UK and internationally. Conferences, exhibitions, and complex, multi-layered projects where detail matters and things move quickly.
You’ll be leading a team of three within a business of around 10 people, which means your influence is felt quickly.
You’ll see your decisions land. In a business this size, you’re not buried in layers or waiting months to push something through. You can shape how things run, improve standards, and watch it play out in real time.
You’ll have proper visibility with clients, genuine ownership over delivery, and the chance to build and develop a team your way. Your voice is heard, your decisions carry weight, and your work doesn’t disappear into the background.
This is a visible role. You’ll be on-site, in front of clients, and with the team. The person people naturally turn to when decisions need making or things need steadying. Not just when everything’s going well, but when it isn’t.
There’s a real balance here. You need to enjoy being hands-on while also leading, mentoring and developing others. Someone who’s done the job, understands what good looks like, and can bring people with them without overcomplicating it.
Coaching a small team. Building their confidence. Raising standards without making it heavy. Creating consistency so clients feel it, even if they can’t quite articulate why.
Because when this role is done well, everything feels smoother.
